Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is there a fee for the in-home design consultation?

A design fee of $350 is collected prior to your consultation, however, it will be applied towards your purchase if a $5,000 minimum order is placed within 90 days.

If a minimum $5,000 order is not placed within 90 days, the $350 deposit becomes a non-refundable design visit fee.

2. Why do you charge a design fee when I see competitors saying “free design”.

We make a commitment to bring your design vision to life, and we ask for the same in return.  Our design consultations are performed by talented designers, many having over 20 years of expertise. We recommend doing your research when selecting a company to work with. Look at their reviews, project photos, and what services are being offered for free. We are here to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

3. What can I expect from my in-home design consultation?

  • We will view each room together and discuss the overall design goals and function for each room as well as review any specific family needs, your timeline, and your budget.
  • Take detailed measurements and photos to create sketch layouts.
  • Note existing and optional focal points, lighting sources, and wall colors.
  • Discuss pieces that will be staying and ways to incorporate them into your new design.
  • Create a list of furnishings and accessories that may work in the space.
  • We will share style options, color palettes, and inspirations to help get an idea of the aesthetic you are looking to achieve.

After your in-home visit, our designers will prepare a presentation of layout options, suggested colors, furnishings, fabrics, and accessories to share with you during a follow-up in-store visit. We will discuss the presentation and browse the showroom to see fabrics and pieces that we feel will be perfect in your home.
